Maggie Smith will be attending the 2017 Association of Writers & Writing Programs Conference in Washington, DC, February 8-11.

On Wednesday evening, February 8, Maggie Smith will be participating in two readings in Washington, DC. The first reading, hosted by Waxwing Magazine, Newfound, and AS/US, is at Busboys & Poets, 1025 5th St NW, Washington, DC 20001, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Details are available here.

Later that night Maggie will also be participating in Monster Mags of the Midwest: A reading hosted by The Journal, Mid-American Review, Ninth Letter, and The Cincinnati Review. The reading will be at Sixth Engine, 438 Massachusetts Avenue NW, from 9:00-12:00. Details are available here.

2017 AWP Panels & Offsite Reading
Maggie Smith will be moderating and participating in a panel reading with poets Dena Rash Guzman, Meghan Privitello, and Leah Umansky: It’s the End of the World As She Knows It: Apocalypse Poetry by Women. The panel will run from 9:00 to 10:15 AM in the Supreme Court, Marriott Marquis, Meeting Level Four.

Maggie will also be on a panel with Meghan Daum, Cade Leebron, Kathryn Rhett, and moderator/organizer Michelle Herman: Mommy Dearest/Daughter Darling: Putting Words in Her Mouth. The panel will run from 3:00 to 4:15 PM in the Liberty Salon N, O, & P, Marriott Marquis, Meeting Level Four.

On Thursday evening Maggie will be participating in The Magnificent Seven: A reading hosted by Pleiades, AGNI, American Literary Review, Boulevard, Cream City Review, Gulf Coast, and Poemoftheweek.org. On Friday evening Maggie Smith will be participating in two readings in Washington, DC. The first reading, hosted by Tupelo Press, will begin at 6:00 PM at The Loft at 600F, 600 F St NW, Washington, DC, 20004.
